I am a new homeowner and, like many, am overwhelmed in finding the right contractors for various projects. I was shopping for a termite contract and contacted 4 different companies. Chris of Proficient Pest was very knowledgable about all things termite and pest-related. I was open and upfront with him in letting him know that I was actively shopping for a termite contract; Chris still did not hesitate in answering any and all questions I had about termites, pests, and even other vendors. Chris and his company are the REAL deal. I signed on with them for major termite treatment and prevention, and they could not be more professional. They do the work, and they don’t turn their backs on you. I found a tiny termite trail a few months back and he was on the property the same day to deal with it. Price wise, they probably fall somewhere in the middle, but quality wise they’re tip top. Don’t skimp on this. Termites will eat your house up before you can say Jack Rabbit.

I’ve used these guys for 5 years and they are truly wonderful. They have literally saved me thousands of dollars by explaining that homes do not usually need to be tented for a certain type of termite. From our first contact with owner Chris we knew we were in good hands! Another local contractor ,THE FENCEMAN Jimmie Sanderson, was at our home giving a bid for a landscape job when he saw the hard press being put on my wife by a National Chain pest control company. He recommended Proficient Pest Control services citing that they were a local, second generation family owned business. I called and the owner Chris answered; he was friendly, knowledgeable very informative answering all my questions in depth and explaining the nuts and bolts of termite control. The scheduled inspector, Josh showed up on time and was courteous, respectful and intelligent. The day following the inspection I received an email with the quote for service as well as a follow up phone call from the owner. The call was not a “sales call” but rather a courtesy call to answer a few questions I had sent in reply to the quote email. Once all my questions were answered the service date was set. The service technician team was led by Josh who again was nothing short of professional and courteous. He led the crew ensuring every aspect of the agreed upon service and more was completed. The entire home was prepared, treated and area cleaned up as if no one had been there. During the service I had questions about some termite activity I had noticed inside my home, Josh answered my questions called the owner, who in turn called me and offered to treat the areas I had concern over for less than 1/3 of what it should actually cost because his crew was already there, but in reality it reflected the sincere desire and care this Company Owner displayed to this customer! This is a real family owned business who obviously care about their customers being educated, secure and satisfied with the service they provide rather than how big their profit margin is. I strongly recommend using their service and have already and will continue recommending them to anyone needing a pest control service.
